To preserve native plant habitat and be a good neighbor, contractors and CDLT staff are spraying weeds at Horse Lake Reserve and near Balsamroot Trail. All herbicides are applied with a blue dye. Click on the link below for the product label.
Weed spraying is subject to change due to weather and other variables.
WENATCHEE, WA – Sage Hills trails system will close for four months starting Dec. 1 to provide winter sustenance and quiet rangeland for mule deer and other wildlife. The area will re-open for outdoor recreation around April 1.
BADGER MOUNTAIN — On a cold Saturday morning, a group of volunteers gathered around a garage on Badger Mountain with bags strapped to their sides and gardening shears in hand.
As we move into summer, the reptiles you are likely to see during the day are gopher snake (also called bull snake), racer, western fence lizard, sagebrush lizard, northern alligator lizard, and pygmy short-horned lizard.
