Want to improve the success of our native grass restoration? Want to fit in an upper body workout before your hike or bike ride? Become a Weed Warrior - Invasive Grass Assassin! We will meet on Wednesdays, weekly, until about mid-June.

Come on down to Lower Sleepy Hollow, our not-yet-open-to-the-public preserve along the Wenatchee River. We will be laying down cardboard around the restoration plantings in the trailhead parking lot, to suppress weeds. If you have a razor blade, large cardboard sections, or a mallet, that can help speed up the process.

Cashmere Canyons trailhead needs your help! We will be hand pulling 6ft tall cereal rye, cheatgrass, and bulbous bluegrass, and cutting back sweet clover to help uncover the native plants hiding beneath them. Most work will be between the road and the parking area, and on the hillside just above the parking area.

Join us at Horse Lake Reserve for common invasive and native grass identification, followed by hand-pulling invasive weeds around our restoration grass seedlings. There's lots to learn, and our native basin wildrye, Idaho fescue and bluebunch wheatgrass need your help to survive!
