Salmon return to the place they were born, to mate and spawn before they die. On this driving tour hosted by the Chelan-Douglas Land Trust you'll visit three locations to observe and learn about the stages of a salmon's life and how you've helped protect their home. The first location will be the Swiftwater Picnic Area near Leavenworth. We'll then drive to the Napeequa Crossing Campground along the White River. For our final destination, we'll head to Nason Creek near Lake Wenatchee.
Education for this event will be bilingual in English and Spanish. Cascade Fisheries', Jen Herdmann, will join us and share about the amazing world of salmon and how they need our help. Transportation is provided for 14 CDLT members.
Registration required, limited to 14 people, all ages are welcome.
Trail difficulty: easy, about 1-mile walking
