CDLT Member Event: Salmon Viewing Driving Tour

Salmon return to the place they were born to mate and spawn before they die. On this driving tour hosted by the Chelan-Douglas Land Trust, you'll visit three locations to observe and learn about the stages of a salmon's life, the cultural importance of salmon, and how you've helped protect their home.

The first location will be Peshastin Pinnacles State Park. We'll then drive to Lake Wenatchee State Park to learn about the significance of this lake in the salmon migration journey. Our final destination will be Napeequa Crossing Campground along the White River, where we will greet sockeye salmon.

We will be joined by Randy Lewis, elder of the Wenatchi/P'Squosa Tribe, Jen Herdmann from Cascade Fisheries, and Jason Bridert, Sr. Fisheries Biologist with the Colville Confederated Tribes.

Registration required. Limited to 18 people, all ages are welcome, lunch and transportation are provided. Please indicate dietary restrictions in the registration form.

Trail difficulty: easy, about 1-mile walking
