A new StoryWalk® book has been installed this spring at Jacobson Preserve in Wenatchee!
Walk the beginning of the trail to read My Colors, My World/Mis Colores, Mi Mundo by Maya Christina Gonzales, a colorful bilingual board book that follows Maya as she discovers all the colors in her world.
StoryWalk® is a book that is presented page by page along a trail, bike path or in-store windows to promote reading and exercise. The Jacobson StoryWalk® was created as part of a partnership between NCW Libraries and the Chelan-Douglas Land Trust and is part of a national effort to foster a greater appreciation for nature and literacy.
To reach the Jacobson trailhead, follow Western Avenue until it becomes Canyon Number 2 Road, then turn left onto Skyline Drive. In about 500 feet, the road takes a sharp left and Jacobson Preserve sits above that curve. Park in the Wenatchee Racket and Athletic Club parking lot, in designated spots along the fence.
My Colors, My World/Mis Colores, Mi Mundo is available for check out at several of our libraries and can also be reserved online here.
