Pets & People Outdoors: Jacobson Dog Walk

🌻Chelan-Douglas Land Trust (CDLT) and the Wenatchee Valley Humane Society (WVHS) are hosting the 3rd Annual Pets & People Outdoors Dog Walk. This event aims to build community by creating opportunities for people and their pets to come together and experience the beauty of the Chelan-Douglas Land Trust’s protected trails.

🐕 Join us for a fun event at Jacobson on April 4, 2026, from 10:00am-12:00pm. No registration required!

Event details:

• We will have 2 marked walking routes. One is about 1 mile total, and the other is 2 miles total on a compacted soil trail.
• Free pastries, coffee, and warm beverages
• Learn basic dog first aid and trail etiquette tips
• Local outdoor organizations and pet store vendors
• Giveaways and more!

All event participants must sign a liability waiver; save time by completing it here. 

Accessibility: 

• There will be a portable bathroom available at the grassy area of the Wenatchee Athletic and Raquet Club (WRAC)

• Parking for this event will be in the gravel parking lot located at the corner of Skyline Dr and Number 2 Canyon. From here, it is a 2-minute walk to the Event location and the beginning of the trail.

• We encourage you to bring walking sticks as the trail is narrow and steep in some places.

The Land Trust is working to make all of our events as accessible as possible. Please let us know at least one week in advance if there is something we can do or provide to support you in participating in this outing to the fullest, and we will accommodate as possible.

Este evento se enfoca en construir comunidad creando oportunidades para que las personas y sus mascotas se reúnan y experimenten la belleza de los senderos protegidos de CDLT. 

🐕Únase a nosotros para un evento divertido en Jacobson Preserve el 4 de abril de 2026, de 10:00am-12:00pm. ¡No se requiere el registro!

Detalles del evento:

• Tendremos dos rutas de senderismo señalizadas. Una de 1 milla total y la otra de 2 millas total en un sendero de tierra compactada.
• Repostería, café y bebidas calientes gratis.
• Aprende primeros auxilios básicos para perros y consejos de etiqueta en senderos
• Organizaciones locales de actividades al aire libre y tiendas de mascotas.
• ¡Regalos y mucho más!

Para participar en este evento, deben firmar una exención de responsabilidad. Ahorre tiempo completándola aquí. 

Accesibilidad: 

• Habrá un baño portátil disponible en el área con pasto del Club Atlético y de Ráquetbol de Wenatchee (WRAC).
• El estacionamiento para este evento será en el estacionamiento de grava ubicado en la esquina de Skyline Dr y Number 2 Canyon. Desde allí, tendrán que caminar 2 minutos a pie hasta el lugar del evento y el inicio del sendero.
• Les recomendamos traer bastones, ya que el sendero es estrecho y empinado en algunos tramos.

El Land Trust está trabajando para que todos nuestros eventos sean lo más accesibles posible. Háganos saber, al menos con una semana de anticipación, si hay algo que podamos hacer o brindar para ayudarlo a participar al máximo en esta excursión, y nos adaptaremos en la medida de lo posible.
