Field Work Party - Volunteer Series

Help restore trails and habitat in our community! Join the Chelan-Douglas Land Trust for a series of hands-on work parties this October. Volunteers will:

• plant native species
• mulch and water young plants
• prepare sites for restoration
• help with general trail maintenance

CDLT will provide: All tools, gloves, gear, water, and snacks. 

Please wear sturdy work clothes and closed-toe shoes that are good for hiking and working outdoors.

• Event 1: CANCELED DUE TO SMOKE. Jacobson Preserve Tuesday, October 7, 2025 at 12:00pm – 3:00pm
   Jacobson Trailhead, 1811 Skyline Dr, Wenatchee, WA 98801
  • We’ll meet at the Jacobson Trailhead at 12pm, then hike up to our work location on the Saddle Rock East Trail. The hike is up to 1.8 miles round trip with 500 feet of elevation gain on compacted and loose soil.

  • Meet at the trailhead at 4pm. We’ll hike up to our work location on the Saddle Rock East Trail (up to 1.8 miles round trip, 500 feet elevation gain).

• Event 4: Horse Lake Trailhead, Saturday, October 18, 2025 at 9:00am – 11:00am

  • Meet at Horse Lake Trailhead at 9am. The project site is right at the parking area — no hiking required.

• Event 5: Saddle Rock Natural Area, Tuesday, October 21, 2025 at 12:00pm – 3:00pm

  • Meet at the Saddle Rock Trailhead at 12pm. From there, we’ll hike up to our work location on the Saddle Rock East Trail (up to 1.8 miles round trip, 500 feet elevation gain).
