A new StoryWalk® book has been installed at Jacobson Preserve in Wenatchee! Walk the beginning of the trail to read "Once Upon a Northern Night" by Jean E. Pendziwol.
About the book:
In this exquisite lullaby, the beauty and wonder of a northern winter night unfold, with images of a soft snowfall, the wild animals that appear in the garden, the twinkling stars, the gentle rhythm of the northern lights and the etchings of frost on the window pane. Learn more here.
About StoryWalk®:
StoryWalk® is a book presented page by page along a trail, bike path, or in-store windows to promote reading and exercise. The Jacobson StoryWalk® was created as part of a partnership between NCW Libraries and the Chelan-Douglas Land Trust and is part of a national effort to foster a greater appreciation for nature and literacy.
Location:
To reach the Jacobson trailhead, follow Western Avenue until it becomes Canyon Number 2 Road, then turn left onto Skyline Drive. In about 500 feet, the road takes a sharp left and Jacobson Preserve sits above that curve. Park in the Wenatchee Racket and Athletic Club parking lot, in designated spots along the fence.
