New StoryWalk® in the Foothills

Submitted on

A new StoryWalk® book has been installed at Jacobson Preserve in Wenatchee! Walk the beginning of the trail to read "Round" by Joyce Sidman, illustrated by Taeeun Yoo (2017).

About the book:

The world is bursting, swelling, budding, and ripening with round things: eggs ready to hatch, sunflowers stretching toward the sun, planets slowly spinning together for billions of years. Follow a young girl and her father as they explore their world and discover all that is round. Find out why this shape occurs in nature so often . . . and why we love it so much!

About StoryWalk®:

StoryWalk® is a book that is presented page by page along a trail, bike path or in-store windows to promote reading and exercise. The Jacobson StoryWalk® was created as part of a partnership between NCW Libraries and the Chelan-Douglas Land Trust and is part of a national effort to foster a greater appreciation for nature and literacy.

Location:

To reach the Jacobson trailhead, follow Western Avenue until it becomes Canyon Number 2 Road, then turn left onto Skyline Drive. In about 500 feet, the road takes a sharp left and Jacobson Preserve sits above that curve. Park in the Wenatchee Racket and Athletic Club parking lot, in designated spots along the fence.
