New StoryWalk®at Jacobson trail!

A new StoryWalk® book has been installed at Jacobson Preserve in Wenatchee! 

Walk the beginning of the trail to read "Acord was a little wild," written by Jen Arena and illustrated by Jessica Gibson.

About the book:  Acorn is the first one off the tree, longing for adventure and new experiences (though maybe not being eaten), but when a squirrel buries Acorn he is forced to stay still in the dark until the exciting changes begin, and he grows into a mighty oak--though at heart he is still a little wild.

About StoryWalk®:

StoryWalk® is a book presented page by page along a trail, bike path, or in-store windows to promote reading and exercise. The Jacobson StoryWalk® was created as part of a partnership between NCW Libraries and the Chelan-Douglas Land Trust and is part of a national effort to foster a greater appreciation for nature and literacy.

Location: 

To reach the Jacobson trailhead, follow Western Avenue until it becomes Canyon Number 2 Road, then turn left onto Skyline Drive. In about 500 feet, the road takes a sharp left and Jacobson Preserve sits above that curve. Park in the Wenatchee Racket and Athletic Club parking lot, in designated spots along the fence.
