A new StoryWalk® book has been installed at Jacobson Preserve in Wenatchee! Walk the beginning of the trail to read "Wildflowers of the Wenatchee Foothills" by the Chelan-Douglas Land Trust.
About the book: Our Wildflowers of the Wenatchee Foothills kids book is a fun, interactive way for young explorers to learn about the plants they see on the trail. With simple descriptions and engaging activities
About StoryWalk®:
StoryWalk® is a book presented page by page along a trail, bike path, or in-store windows to promote reading and exercise. The Jacobson StoryWalk® was created as part of a partnership between NCW Libraries and the Chelan-Douglas Land Trust and is part of a national effort to foster a greater appreciation for nature and literacy.
Location:
To reach the Jacobson trailhead, follow Western Avenue until it becomes Canyon Number 2 Road, then turn left onto Skyline Drive. In about 500 feet, the road takes a sharp left and Jacobson Preserve sits above that curve. Park in the Wenatchee Racket and Athletic Club parking lot, in designated spots along the fence.
