Chelan-Douglas Land Trust Survey Results

The past three years have been amazingly successful for CDLT. As part of our strategic planning for the next five years, we reached out to Land Trust members and the community at large with a survey to gather input on priorities and values.

We were very happy with the response rate, especially from members. 415 complete responses to the Membership survey gives us high confidence in the results. The Community Survey had a much lower response rate (191 complete responses), but the responses in the two surveys track each other very closely.

The survey results have been very helpful as the Board of Directors evaluates and prioritizes our options for the next five years. Thank you to all who participated!

Bob Bugert, Executive Director, provides this summary of the results:

“In essence, we have a membership base that is very supportive of all aspects of our work, and view conservation as our core mission. However, the membership remains enthusiastically supportive of trails development; the response was varied in the degree that CDLT should provide leadership in the planning, development, and maintenance of trails throughout Chelan and Douglas counties. Not surprisingly, respondents recognize CDLT’s strength in community planning to balance conservation, recreation, and development. We are indeed trusted in our approach.”
