From Wenatchee Avenue, head uphill (west) on Horse Lake Road. Follow the road 3/4 of a mile past residential neighborhoods. At this point, the road will turn to dirt. After 3 miles, the trailhead will be on the right. For a Google map of the trailhead, click here.
Driving north on Western Ave., take a left onto Maiden Lane. Follow the road for 1.25 miles as it winds through the neighborhood. Continue driving past the end of the pavement to the trailhead. Amenities include 11 parking stalls, 1 additional ADA accessible parking stall, a picnic shelter, water fountain, electric vehicle plug-in, vault toilet, an informational kiosk, and maps. Take 5th street west across Western Avenue. After 2/3 mile, turn right onto Surry Rd and continue for 1 block. Turn left onto Lester Rd. and travel west until it is intersected by Day Rd. Follow Day Rd for 1 block and then turn left onto Day Drive which will wind uphill and turn right. The Day Drive Trailhead is on the left. Please drive slowly and minimize noise to respect our neighbors. This trailhead only accommodates 4 cars. Overflow parking is along 5th Street - please do not park on narrow residential streets and respect the neighbors. If full, please use the Sage Hills parking area on Canyon 1 Road. Take 5th street west across Western Avenue. Follow the road around a left-hand curve as it becomes Number 1 Canyon Road. After 1/3 mile, the parking area will be on the right-hand side. Overflow parking is along 5th Street - please do not park on narrow residential streets and respect the neighbors. To access the trail, walk up Sage Hills Drive. From Western Ave, turn west (toward the hills) on Castlerock Ave. Drive to the end of Castlerock Ave. There are 5 parking spaces, with 2 additional ADA-accessible parking spaces.
Follow Western Ave to its southernmost extreme until it becomes Canyon Number 2 Road. Take the 1st left onto Skyline Drive. After 500 feet, the road takes a sharp left turn. Jacobson preserve sits above that curve. Parking is available to the right in the WRAC parking lot. Please park in designated spots along the fence on the north side of the parking lot. Head south on Miller Street. Turn right onto Circle Street. The large trailhead parking area is at the end of the road. For a Google map of the parking area, click here.
