Chelan County Natural Resource Department has resurrected and revamped CDLT's Good Neighbor Handbook. Take a look at this fabulous resource!
Whether you are new to the area or a longtime resident, the Good Neighbor Handbook is designed to offer you with the information you need to be a “good neighbor” in Chelan County. The Handbook provides a nuts-and-bolts approach to problems faced by new (and existing) homeowners in Chelan County: covering topics such as fire resistant plants for landscaping, to when and where to see salmon spawning, to zoning considerations for landowners who own waterfront property. Crafted to be pertinent and practical, the Handbook also provides live links to websites, videos, and apps to find out more about each topic. The goal of the project is to arm landowners with the knowledge they need to become stewards of the land so that we can all enjoy and protect what our area has to offer. This information and more is available digitally at chelancountygoodneighbors.org!
The Good Neighbor Handbook is a collaborative effort made possible by these partners: Cascadia Conservation District, Cascade Columbia Fisheries Enhancement Group, Chelan-Douglas Land Trust, Chelan County, Chumstick Wildfire Stewardship Coalition, US Forest Service, Trout Unlimited, Upper Columbia Salmon Recovery Board, Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife, Chelan and Douglas County WSU Extension Office, Wenatchee Outdoors and the Wenatchee Valley Museum.
