We need your help to protect bitterbrush plantings from hungry deer!
Details: We will hike less than 0.5 miles off-trail to the planting area. The ground will be uneven with a moderate incline. We will secure metal cages around individual young bitterbrush plantings as browse protection from deer. The work will be mildly strenuous with a moderately strenuous hike.
Please bring clothes that you don't mind getting dirty and hiking/work shoes.
We will provide gloves and tools, as well as drinks and snacks.
Meet-up Location: We will meet at the Horse Lake trailhead and use CDLT vehicles to shuttle volunteers up the Horse Lake service road for about 10 minutes. There are bathrooms at the trailhead, but not at the restoration site.
Please contact [email protected] for any questions, thank you!

Accessibility: The Land Trust is working to make all of our events as accessible as possible. Please let us know if there is something we can do or provide to support you in participating in this outing to the fullest, and we will accommodate as possible.
