Sage Hills trail to close Dec. 1

The Sage Hills Trails, which traverse the hills west of Wenatchee, will close for the winter to all recreational use on Tuesday to protect habitat for wintering mule deer and other wildlife, the Chelan County PUD said in a news release Monday. The PUD, the Chelan-Douglas Land Trust and the state Department of Fish and Wildlife, will monitor and enforce the closure, which affects all PUD and Land Trust-owned lands and trails between Number 1 Canyon and Horse Lake Road, including the Horse Lake Reserve.
