Wenatchee World: Land Trust launches needed education program

The Chelan-Douglas Land Trust is launching a bold, new education initiative to encourage kids and families to get outdoors and gain a greater appreciation for nature in North Central Washington.

This weekend, CDLT is collaborating with the Wenatchee River Institute and North Central Washington Audubon in putting on Wenatchee River Nature Quest at Barn Beach Reserve in Leavenworth. Nature Quest is an event for the whole family. There will be a number of stations that will demonstrate how important the Wenatchee River is to our region. It will include some self-guided exhibits.

This weekend’s program is just one in a year-round effort to engage the community.
