Trailwork a sure sign of approaching spring

Trail work on the Jacobson Preserve Trail is getting an early start this month as spring weather races well ahead of the calendar. The twomile trail on the northwest flank of Saddle Rock winds through delicate and unique shrubsteppe hills where the earliest wildflowers are just starting to emerge, said Charlie Naismith, trails committee chairman for the ChelanDouglas Land Trust.
