Time
6:30 AM - 12:00 PM

Join Susan Ballinger, CDLT Conservation Fellow, and Marilyn Hedges, CDLT member and NCW Audubon Society Board member, on a recon trip to the White River. We will visit CDLT properties along the lower parts of the White River.

Meeting Location: We will meet to carpool from Wenatchee at the Old Station Park and Ride (on Penny Road) at 6:30am. We will drive to Lake Wenatchee State Park, south shore, and arrive at 7:30am. A discover pass is required to park here.

Event Details:

  • Expect to walk about 2 miles on former roads and across wet fields in western red cedar and cottonwood riparian forest.
  • We will have a picnic for an early lunch. Please bring your own lunch.
  • Please bring waterproof shoes and layers of clothes for the changing weather.
  • Loaner binoculars available upon request
  • Parking is very limited, so we will encourage people to carpool to minimize vehicle use.
