CDLT Member Event: Birding at Cashmere Canyons Preserve

Join Joe Veverka and Neal Hedges, retired Stewardship Director of CDLT,  on a recon trip through the fields and forests of a hidden private ranch near Cashmere. This part of the property is not open to the public.

Meeting Location: We will meet at the west end of Apple Anne's parking lot at 7:00am and expect to be back in Cashmere by 11:30am. 

Event Details:

• We will be driving the Hay Canyon Road and making frequent stops to explore birdy areas on foot along the way. 

• We will do the majority of the birding from the road, but you can expect to walk up to 200 yards cross-country.

• Expect to see birds of grassland, shrub-steppe, and forest, as well as some spectacular fields of wildflowers.

• Wear sturdy shoes and layered clothing, and bring snacks.
