Join Joe Veverka and Neal Hedges, retired Stewardship Director of CDLT, on a recon trip through the fields and forests of a hidden private ranch near Cashmere. This part of the property is not open to the public.
Meeting Location: We will meet at the west end of Apple Anne's parking lot at 7:00am and expect to be back in Cashmere by 11:30am.
Event Details:
We will be driving the Hay Canyon Road and making frequent stops to explore birdy areas on foot along the way.
We will do the majority of the birding from the road, but you can expect to walk up to 200 yards cross-country.
Expect to see birds of grassland, shrub-steppe, and forest, as well as some spectacular fields of wildflowers.
Wear sturdy shoes and layered clothing, and bring snacks.
Limited space available. Registration is required.
This is a member's event. If you’re not yet a member of the Chelan-Douglas Land Trust, we warmly invite you to become a member by making a donation of any amount here.
Accessibility: The Land Trust is working to make all of our events as accessible as possible. Please let us know at least one week in advance if there is something we can do or provide to support you in participating in this outing to the fullest, and we will accommodate as possible.
