2026 Saddle Rock East Trail Update-Now Open!

On Friday, April 24, 2026, the Saddle Rock East Trail is open to the public!

Please watch for workers, tools, and equipment, as final work is still underway. You may encounter CDLT staff and volunteers along the trails completing restoration, installing fencing, and adding signage. Please slow down and use caution—trail surfaces may be soft or loose.

2025 Saddle Rock East Trail Update

Starting Monday, Sept. 22, 2025, the Saddle Rock East Trail will be closed for construction as part of the Saddle Rock Access and Recreation Plan. The project will improve trail sustainability, safety, and connectivity.
- Rebuilding the East Trail
- Adding new trail segments
- Restoring habitat with 2,000+ native plants
The trail is expected to reopen in Spring 2026. Thank you for your patience while we make Saddle Rock better for everyone!

2024 Saddle Rock Accessible Trail Conceptual Plan

CDLT is currently developing a conceptual design plan for an accessible trail at Saddle Rock Natural Area in Wenatchee. This accessible trail was a recommended future trail construction project identified in the 2023 Saddle Rock Trails Plan. We are using the term "accessible trail" to mean a trail designed to be enjoyed by all visitors - especially trail users with physical, mental, or sensory disabilities - who may feel excluded from other trails.
