It’s called synergy, when efforts combined produce an effect greater than the sum of their parts. We see synergy in the Entiat Valley, and it is good and more good.
The situation was recounted in a story Wednesday by The World’s Pete O’Cain. Thomas and Erin Enlow bought 13 acres and a 3,000-square-foot home up the Entiat, in a flood plain. They sought to sell. The Chelan Douglas Land Trust is working to restore salmon and steelhead habitat in the Entiat. It sought to buy. A grant was obtained, and a mutually beneficial transaction ensued.
