Let’s take a step back in time to one of the first properties the Chelan-Douglas Land Trust and others helped protect—Peshastin Pinnacles (image above). These towering sandstone spires have drawn rock climbers since the 1940s, but by the late 1980s, public access was in jeopardy. Thanks to the dedication of CDLT and its partners, this beloved climbing area was saved and became a state park in 1991. Today, thousands enjoy this unique land and stunning views of the Wenatchee River valley.

Retrocedamos en el tiempo hasta una de las primeras propiedades que Chelan-Douglas Land Trust y otros ayudaron a proteger: Peshastin Pinnacles (imagen arriba). Estas torres de rocas han atraído a escaladores desde la década de 1940, pero a finales de la década de 1980, el acceso público estaba en peligro.
