Horse Lake Donation Kicks-Off Foothills Campaign

The Chelan-Douglas Land Trust has received a nearly $1 million donation to help in its efforts to preserve an expanse of the western foothills for public benefit.

Retired Drs. Eliot and Tina Scull announced Wednesday that they are donating the money from his mother’s estate to pay off a $950,000 loan the Land Trust received six years ago to buy two ranches at the top of Horse Lake Road.
