Waste Management grant supports Chelan-Douglas Land Trust's get-kids-outside efforts

On a warm morning this summer, more than 20 children from the City of Wenatchee’s Day Camp joined me to play Pokémon Go at Saddle Rock —  except instead of looking for imaginary creatures on a screen, they searched for local wildlife in the bushes.

Before our day started, I had hidden photos of many of the most common animals in the Wenatchee Foothills in their native habitats. The kids came with their counselors and searched along the trail for these animals.
