On one of those long winter nights near the solstice, I pulled myself from the comfort of my home woodstove to climb a ridgeline which I just knew was above the valley fog. I was awestruck on that clear moonless night to see the Milky Way strewn with stars as thick as sand on a beach. I reveled in the beauty of Nature and the night sky, and wondered at its mystery and power.
My relationship with the natural world is my own, but it could be very much like yours. That I do not know. But what I do know is that there are immeasurable ways we see this overwhelming power of nature.
