Volunteer: Checker Mallow Burn

Help Support Wenatchee Mountain Checker-Mallow

Join us on Friday, October 9, at Mountain Home for a small prescribed burn led by the Cascadia Prescribed Burn Association.

This burn will help support habitat for the endangered Wenatchee Mountains Checker-Mallow (Sidalcea oregana var. calva), a rare plant native to our region. This species requires fire for its life cycle!
