Birding 101

Susan Ballinger leads this engaging course co-sponsored by NCW Audubon Society for beginning birders. Participants in this interactive workshop will be introduced to the basics of bird biology, view images of common birds of the Wenatchee Valley and learn how to use field characteristics as an aid to bird identification.  Susan will also discuss field guides, audio tools, binoculars, and birding organizations.

There is a follow-up field trip on Saturday Nov. 12th for class registrants where you can practice your skills, learn from others, and meet others who love to bird. The field trip will be led by Susan and leaders from the NCW Audubon Society at the Horan Nature Area in Confluence State Park. Details will be provided at the Wednesday evening session.
