Attention all trail users!  Come and get your hands dirty with the Chelan-Douglas Land Trust at a trail work party and help take care of the trails we are all so fortunate to enjoy.  This Tuesday May 22nd is sponsored by Run Wenatchee and we will be working at the Jacobson Preserve.  Meet at the WRAC parking lot at 4:30.

What a great time to get outside and see the Foothills while doing trail work! Come out on Tuesday, May 8th to the popular Jacobson Preserve to be part of our fun crew.

Join Adam Vognild, Land Trust supporter & co-owner of The Inner Circle Gym, on a trail run at Horse Lake.  Explore the area, learn some tips, and meet some fellow runners.  The run will be for intermediate runners and will last less then 1.5 hours.  Expect to run 6-8 miles depending on the group and rest breaks.  Meet at the Horse Lake Trailhead.  RSVP required.  Limited to 6 people.

Bring all your own personal gear - water, layers, food.

Join us for a group trail run! The only criteria is wanting to have fun and get outside.

Attention all trail users!  Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance and the Land Trust have partnered to help the PUD reclaim an illegally built trail on their Homewater property.  We will meet at John Newbery Elementary at 2pm.  Bring your bike if you are interested in a group ride after the work party. 

Help control noxious weeds along the popular foothills trails.  Noxious weeds are nonnative plants with aggressive growth and a lack of natural enemies. These species are highly destructive to our natural areas and out compete native plants. Join the fight against noxious weeds by helping apply EPA approved herbicides by backpack sprayer. Hiking with a sprayer also doubles as a great workout!  Limited to 5 people.  Contact Neal at neal@cdlandtrust.org if you have questions.

What to Bring: Water, snacks, gloves

Attention all trail users!  Come and get your hands dirty with the Chelan-Douglas Land Trust at a trail work party and help take care of the trails we are all so fortunate to enjoy.  This Tuesday April 24th, the plan has changed.  We will be working on the Lester Trail.  Meet at the Sage Hills Drive parking area at 4:30.

Attention all trail users!  Come and get your hands dirty with the Chelan-Douglas Land Trust at a trail work party and help take care of the trails we are all so fortunate to enjoy.  This Tuesday April 10th, we will be doing some maintenance on the Lester Trail at the end of Sage Hills Drive.  Meet at the parking area on Canyon Number One Road at 4:30. 

Come join us for a two-part class on the geology of the Wenatchee River Valley and surrounding area. At the evening session, Kelsay Stanton will discuss the kinds of rocks found in the region as well as how plate tectonics shape what we see.

On the June 23rd field trip, we will check out the outcrops! Time and details TBA.
