Help control noxious weeds along the popular foothills trails.  Noxious weeds are nonnative plants with aggressive growth and a lack of natural enemies. These species are highly destructive to our natural areas and out compete native plants. Join the fight against noxious weeds by helping apply EPA approved herbicides by backpack sprayer. Mtn. Home Fire Ecology Field Trip & Work Party

Herptile Surveys at Mountain Home Ridge

Look for reptiles and amphibians on Mt. Home Ridge. Expect western skinks, common gartersnake, western fence lizard but we could find a few lesser known species.   

Requires bending, lifting.  Must be comfortable being near snakes.

Reptile Surveys in the Wenatchee Foothills

Weed control is one of the largest tasks facing the Land Trust as we care for our properties. Join the fight against aggressive noxious weeds by helping apply EPA approved herbicides by backpack sprayer. Hiking with a sprayer also doubles as a great workout! 

Work dates will occur in late October and early November depending on weather conditions. Short notice of the work parties will be sent out to interested parties by email.
