Cashmere Canyons OPEN!

The newly built trailhead on Nahahum Cyn. Rd. is open. Now the public can access the stunning Cashmere Canyons Preserve and its 11+ miles of hiking trails. The landowners of this privately-owned preserve have protected this property for critical wildlife habitat, but have generously invited the public to share in its beauty.

Great News

Funding to designate 3714 acres on Nason Ridge above Lake Wenatchee a Community Forest has been included in the state capital budget. This process will make this portion of Nason Ridge the property of Chelan Co. This means that this land will be managed locally on behalf of our community priorities.

Leavenworth BirdFest 

It was another successful BirdFest this past weekend. This yearly festival celebrating birds is a popular favorite, attracting people from all over the state. Read about how it got started here in the Wenatchee Naturalist blog post.
