Trail Maintenance

CDLT will do trail work at Saddle Rock this spring. Heavily used trails are deteriorating and upgrades will include reroutes and maintenance. We will be using heavy machinery and will close trail segments as we work on them.

For trail maintenance updates check out our social media and/or website!

Welcome

Help us welcome our new Field Technician, Logan Butler! Logan will assist with trail maintenance and invasive plant management. Logan grew up in the Methow Valley where she developed a deep respect for nature as she fell in love with hiking, botany, mycology, and fishing. In 2021, she graduated from Washington State University with a bachelor's degree in Animal Science and the following year she pursued a Master's in Conservation from the University College of London. Logan is very excited to pour her passion into her work for this community.

Native Plant Giveaway!

The North Central Washington region has been selected by the Xerces Society for an exciting initiative. In this program, Derby Canyon and Plants of the Wild nurseries will be providing 4000 native plants to homeowners, farms, and organizations interested in supporting pollinator conservation. The distribution of plants is scheduled for October.
