Happy Valentine's Day from CDLT!

Today, as we celebrate love, we also celebrate 40 years of love for land conservation, our communities, and the vision that shaped the Chelan-Douglas Land Trust. As Eliot Scull, founding board member, once reflected, “Those of us in 1985 never envisioned the scope and the effectiveness of CDLT.” And now, in 2024, we are awed by what we have accomplished together.

To kick things off we're launching 40 for 40—featuring 40 special articles in The Wenatchee World and 40 free events! The Wenatchee World will host CDLT on March 12 at their Forums at Pybus day, where newsmakers and the community will come together to discuss the past 40 years and look ahead to the future.

Thank you for being part of this journey—our shared commitment ensures these special places endure for generations to come!

Cheers,

Dania Contreras

Spot Wildlife in Need?

What Should You Do If You See Wildlife in Need?

Ever wondered what to do if you see an at-risk, injured, or potentially dangerous wild animal? Thanks to Emily Jeffreys from WDFW, we now have clear guidance on when to observe, report, or call for help.

  • Spot a rare or injured animal? Record details and report it.
  • Encounter a bear, cougar, or moose acting aggressively? Call WDFW Enforcement or 911.
  • Find a fawn alone? Leave it be—removing it is illegal and harmful.
