Held by CDLT since 2005, this transfer to the USFS was made possible in part by a generous donation of the privately-held mineral rights to CDLT by the Bevis Family. This is part of the Forest Service effort to increase the amount of protected property on Icicle Road for recreation.</p> </div> Thu, 12 Nov 2020 19:25:41 +0000 Kathy Peven 1487 at https://www.cdlandtrust.org December 2019 https://www.cdlandtrust.org/who-we-are/history/timeline/december-2019 <span>December 2019</span> <div class="field field--name-field-timeline-image field--type-image field--label-hidden field--item"> <img src="/sites/default/files/2020-08/Wheat%20and%20Sage.JPG" width="4320" height="3240" alt="This agricultural conservation easement supports farming and wildlife." typeof="foaf:Image" class="img-responsive" /> </div> <span><a title="View user profile." href="/user/5" lang="" about="/user/5" typeof="schema:Person" property="schema:name" datatype="">Kathy Peven</a></span> <span>Mon, 08/10/2020 - 16:55</span> <div class="field field--name-body field--type-text-with-summary field--label-hidden field--item"><p>The Land Trust enters into its first agricultural conservation easement with the <strong>Keane Family</strong> of Douglas County. The Keane Ranch is in the heart of the strongest remaining population of Greater sage-grouse in Washington State, which has lost over 90% of its historic range due to habitat loss and fragmentation. This agreement supports farming and protects habitat for the imperiled greater sage-grouse. This permanently protects the Keane Ranch from development and connects the ranch’s 6,724 acres with adjacent state, federal and private lands. Combined, the amount of land protected and usable by Greater sage-grouse and other wildlife exceeds 8,000 acres.</p> </div> Mon, 10 Aug 2020 23:55:44 +0000 Kathy Peven 1437 at https://www.cdlandtrust.org Summer 2019 https://www.cdlandtrust.org/who-we-are/history/timeline/summer-2019-0 <span>Summer 2019</span> <div class="field field--name-field-timeline-image field--type-image field--label-hidden field--item"> <img src="/sites/default/files/2020-08/Barn%201_small.jpg" width="720" height="540" alt="Barn relocation at Lower Sleepy Hollow Preserve" typeof="foaf:Image" class="img-responsive" /> </div> <span><a title="View user profile." href="/user/5" lang="" about="/user/5" typeof="schema:Person" property="schema:name" datatype="">Kathy Peven</a></span> <span>Mon, 08/10/2020 - 16:43</span> <div class="field field--name-body field--type-text-with-summary field--label-hidden field--item"><p>An old barn at Lower Sleepy Hollow Preserve is dismantled and moved to private property where it will be repurposed.
