The Trouble With Wolves takes an up-close look at the most heated and controversial wildlife conservation debate of our time. The film aims to find out whether coexistence is really possible by hearing from the people directly involved.

Join us at Castle Rock to perform annual maintenance on the Castle Rock trail system, and any existing trail infrastructure (trail closure barriers, fences, rock steps). This work will be light to moderate and involve hiking up to 2 miles and using hand tools such as hoes and McLeods along the way.


SageFest: Foothills Trail Maintenance

Join us on Saturday, April 6th for the 2nd Annual SageFest - a volunteer trail event co-sponsored by Chelan-Douglas Land Trust (CDLT) and Central WA Evergreen Mountain Bike Association (EMBA). We will meet at the Horse Lake trailhead at 9:00 AM, break into groups that will be shuttled to various access points, then meet back at the trailhead for a 1:00 PM BBQ.

Join Connie McCauley to explore the Ski Hill area, looking at wildflowers, birds, and wildlife. Depending upon interest and conditions, participants will explore both ski trails and bike trails during this 3 hour walk. Connie has explored these hills for 40 years and enjoys sharing her local knowledge with all ages and backgrounds.

Sagebrush Songbird Survey & Training | WA State Audubon Society

The Sagebrush Songbird Survey is a community science project developed in partnership with the Washington Department of Wildlife (WDFW). The data collected in this multi-year, million-acre survey helps us find the best remaining habitat areas for sagebrush birds in our state. There will be several Classroom Training Sessions in mid-March and Field Training in early April.

Help kids get outside learning about Forest Health. Cascadia Conservation District is looking for volunteers to help with Kids in the Forest by running educational stations. Training provided. Locations vary, from Wenatchee to Mission Ridge to Tall Timbers near Lake Wenatchee. Volunteer for half-days or the whole time.
