White River Snowshoe Tour - A CDLT and Team Naturaleza Event

Join CDLT and Team Naturaleza for a naturalist’s snowshoe tour of the White River led by wildlife biologist Heather Murphy. Heather will discuss this special area’s importance to forests, birds, mammals, salmon and water resources. Stops on the tour will highlight conifer diversity, animal tracks, conservation projects and the American Indian and historical use of the land. We’ll have a chance to warm up at Tall Timber Ranch Lodge halfway through the day.

Snowshoers should be able to walk for 4 hours on snowshoes in winter weather over difficult terrain. Please bring snowshoes and winter boots (ski poles may be helpful), layers of outerwear, safety gear (first aid, bright colors, matches/paper, communication devices, duct tape, etc), hat (winter hat and sun hat), gloves, sunglasses, sunscreen, cloth handkerchief, snacks, water and a day pack. Loaner snowshoes will be available please indicate in the registration form. No dogs, please.

Participants will have the opportunity to eat lunch at Tall Timber Ranch's Lodge ($10) or bring their own sack lunch. When you sign up for the trip please let us know whether you will be planning to buy lunch at Tall Timber.
