Join us at one of two locations for annual spring maintenance of the lower Sage Hills trail. This work will be light to moderate and involve hiking 2-3 miles and using hand tools such as hoes and McLeods along the way. In order to accommodate more people, and to get more work done, we will be splitting the volunteers between two different meeting locations. If you sign up below, make sure you choose either the Sage Hills (5th St.) access point (meeting at 5th St and N Surry St & walking to trailhead nearby) or the Maiden Lane access point to indicate where you will meet us. Most volunteer work can be adapted to include everyone. Please inquire at the contact below about possible adaptations to the work. Volunteers can expect light-moderate work and walking up to 3 miles with 100 feet elevation gain. Kids are welcome.
Everyone's safety is our top priority at these events. Please read CDLT's COVID Safety Protocol and do not attend the event if you are feeling unwell. Remember to bring a face mask to wear when you're around other people who are more comfortable with masks, work gloves, hand sanitizer, water, snacks, layers of clothing appropriate for the task & weather on site, and close-toed shoes. The Land Trust will bring tools for volunteers to use.
Please RSVP by filling out the form below so we can provide you with details for the work party as the date approaches.
*All work parties are weather and conditions dependent. Canceled work parties will be rescheduled if possible.
