Controlling over 20 species of noxious weeds is one of our toughest stewardship duties. The timing of weed control treatments depends on the stage of plant growth and favorable weather conditions so we keep a flexible schedule. Projects may include backpack spraying, mowing with string-trimmers, and hand-pulling - contact us to let us know which method you are willing to do.
Due to health concerns regarding COVID-19, we are not currently hosting any volunteer work parties. However, you are welcome to sign up, and we will notify you once we can safely host volunteer work parties again.
Please contact Olivia Schilling, Stewardship and Trails Coordinator at [email protected] or (509) 667-9708 to get on our volunteer Weed Warriors list so you can receive email notifications for upcoming volunteer opportunities for weed control.
