Make a Difference Day is a world-wide movement where people come together to make their community a better place. For Wenatchee Valley's 30th Make A Difference Day this year on Saturday, October 24th, CDLT and Team Naturaleza invite you to join us at the Jacobson Preserve, spreading sagebrush woodchips that will keep the trail mud-free all winter long. This trail project is another benefit of a neighborhood fire-resiliency project, where sagebrush was thinned to prevent the spread and intensity of future wildfires in the area.
Safety is our first priority. We are asking for household groups to sign up in advance for specific 1-hour times slots between 9 am and noon. We will have volunteers spread out along the trail throughout the day to ensure physical distancing between household groups. All ages are welcome - this is a great activity for kids! Volunteers will work in small household groups, wearing masks and physically distanced from other volunteers.
