Knapweed Pulling at Balsamroot Trail

Are you looking for a hands-on way to positively impact our lands in just two hours? Do you like to get outside in the company of other like-minded folks? Consider signing up to join the Chelan-Douglas Land Trust for our Weed Warrior knapweed pulls this spring.

For this event, we will be pulling diffuse knapweed near and along Balsamroot trail in the Wenatchee Foothills. We will have knapweed pulling shovels available. Our goal is to control knapweed as one element of a larger habitat improvement plan. By pulling the weeds before they flower and set seed, we can leave the plants on-site with no need to bag them. Consider inviting your friends or family members to join you for a satisfying morning of chatting and pulling weeds. Our time on-site will be limited to 2 hours.
