CDLT Member Event: Snowshoe Stroll

Join CDLT and Wenatchee River Institute (WRI) for a Snowshoe Stroll along the beautiful Icicle Creek. Starting from the Leavenworth National Fish Hatchery we will be guided by a WRI naturalist and a CDLT staff on a one-mile snowshoe trail. 

We will learn about native wildlife and ecology along the way. What signs do we see along the trail that tell us what animals were there? How do the plants and animals survive winter? Even if this is your first time on snowshoes, come along and enjoy this fun outdoor winter program. 

As a thank you for being a member this outing is being offered to you for a discounted price of $10 (Originally $20 registration fee). 

Make sure to dress in layers and bring your enthusiasm for the wonders of winter and nature.

When: January 25, 2025

Time: 1:00pm-3:00pm

Difficulty level: Beginner level; all skill levels are welcome. Not ADA accessible due to non-plowed trails. 

Provided: Snowshoes, gaiters, poles and hot cocoa.

Únase a CDLT y Wenatchee River Institute (WRI) para un paseo con raquetas de nieve por el hermoso Arroyo Icicle. Partiendo del criadero Nacional de Peces Leavenworth, un guía naturalista de WRI y un miembro del personal de CDLT nos guiaran en un sendero de una milla con raquetas de nieve. 

Aprenderemos sobre la vida silvestre nativa y la ecología a lo largo del camino. ¿Que señales vemos a lo largo del sendero que nos indican que animales había? ¿Como sobreviven las plantas y los animales al inverno? Incluso si es tu primera vez con raquetas de nieve, ven y disfruta de este divertido programa invernal al aire libre.
