This event is FULL! Thank you for your interest. Please check out one of our other events this spring.
Join us at Cashmere Canyons Preserve for an adventurous day of trail work. Our main task will be finish work on a machine built trail, but we may start building a new trail by hand if there is time. This work will be moderate to arduous and involve hiking around 3 miles with 650' elevation gain to the site and using hand tools such as hoes and McLeods once at the site. Because we will be accessing the site by driving about a mile of rough road and we are not able to carpool at this time, a high clearance vehicle (Subaru Outback or higher, about 8") is required to attend this volunteer event. You will need to bring a backpack with snacks, lots of water, a lunch, layers of clothing and anything else you may need for the day. CDLT will provide tools and a shuttle for gear and tools to the work site so people don't need to hike with extra weight. (Note: if you are looking for a more laid back volunteer event that day, please see the Cashmere Canyons Preserve Lower Trail Work Event HERE.)
Due to COVID-19 restrictions: Registration is required in order to not exceed our maximum group limit of 10 people. Volunteers and staff are also required to take their temperature prior to the work party and report that they are not experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms at the time of attendance. If you are not feeling well, have any symptoms of COVID-19, or have been exposed to someone with COVID-19, please stay home. Before you sign up, we recommend you read our Outdoor Volunteer Event COVID Safety Protocol that was approved by the Chelan-Douglas Health District.
*All work parties are weather and conditions dependent. Canceled work parties will be rescheduled if possible.
