Please consider volunteering for our partner events (click on the links to read more):
- Foster Creek Conservation District is planting sagebrush seedlings in Douglas County
- or many of the other great projects on the Make A Difference Day website.
National Make A Difference Day brings community service to a whole new level each year. Organizations join forces on the fourth Saturday in October to make a difference, big or small. This year the Chelan-Douglas Land Trust invites you to plant native bunchgrass seedlings at Horse Lake Reserve for a restoration project. The work will be light to moderate and will involve walking less than a mile and bending and crouching. This is great activity for all, bring your friends and family!
Everyone's safety is our top priority at these events. Please read CDLT's COVID Safety Protocol and do not attend the event if you are feeling unwell. Remember to bring a face mask to wear when you're around other people, work gloves, hand sanitizer, water, snacks, layers of clothing appropriate for the task & weather on site, close-toed shoes, and appropriate tools if you have them. The Land Trust will bring tools for volunteers to use.
Please RSVP with the form below so we can get an accurate headcount and provide you with details for the work party as the date approaches.
*All work parties are weather and conditions dependent. Canceled work parties will be rescheduled if possible.
